Policy and Monitoring
Policy and Monitoring Directorate
This directorate provides policy advice to the Minister on key issues that impact upon Pacific peoples. Members of this group also monitor the effectiveness of other agencies’ strategies in improving outcomes for Pacific peoples, and work on projects that meet our own strategic goals. They also write briefings and reports for the Minister of Pacific Island Affairs.
The directorate’s people include research analysts who design and conduct research projects that enhance our understanding of Pacific peoples in New Zealand, and respond to current and emerging issues for Pacific peoples.
The Directorate is based in Wellington and researchers and analysts also work in our Auckland and Christchurch offices.
You can read more about what we do on our WORK PROGRAMMES pages.
