Call for submissions on the establishment of the Pacific peoples Panel for Auckland

The Chief Executive of the Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs (MPIA) is required to develop proposals for the establishment of the above Panel for the consideration of the mayor by 1 November 2010 under s50 of the Local Government (Tamaki Makaurau Reorganisation) Act 2009.

Written submissions

Public submissions are now being invited by MPIA, to be considered in developing the proposal to the new mayor.  A discussion document to guide submissions is available at www.mpia.govt.nz/community-notices  or from the MPIA Auckland Office. Submissions can be emailed to pacific.panel@mpia.govt.nz . Please provide two copies if providing a written submission.

 Written Submissions close 12pm Friday, 6 August 2010.

Public Consultation Meetings

MPIA invites the public to attend fono to discuss the proposed Panel. The discussion document will guide consultation at the fono.

Central/West Auckland/North Shore/Rodney fono:
