The Pacific Building Affordable Homes (PBAH) Fund is closed to applications, with all funding fully committed.

The Pacific Building Affordable Homes Fund aimed to to increase Pacific home ownership rates by:

  • supporting the building of affordable homes for eligible Pacific families to purchase for home ownership; and
  • encouraging innovative approaches to housing and/or development design that ensure the needs and aspirations of Pacific families, including multigenerational living are met.

As at December 2025, a total of 47 homes have been delivered under the fund, with further homes under construction or in development across multiple regions.

The Ministry for Pacific Peoples continues to monitor delivery of funded projects and information on programme progress and outcomes is publicly available through reporting, including the Ministry’s annual reports. These reports provide updates on homes delivered, delivery progress, and how the Fund is contributing to Pacific home ownership outcomes.

In the 2025/26 financial year, the PBAH fund, alongside the Our Whare Our Fale housing initiative, is expected to contribute to the delivery of an additional 25–35 homes for Pacific families.
