The 2026 theme for Rotuma Language Week is "Ȧf'ȧk, putua, a'pumuạ'ȧk ma rak'ȧk 'os fäega ma 'os ag fak Rotuma, la se maoen 'e 'os tore" - Treasure, nurture and teach our Rotuman language and culture so it may live on through generations.

NZRF Mairani Kato'aga A family friendly event for people to celebrate the end of Rotuman Language Week 2026. Watch traditional Rotuman dances from our young and young at heart and join us for a shared lunch to fellowship with some of the community and friends. If attending, we ask families to bring talcum powder or perfume (the traditional way to acknowledge a Rotuman performance) and a dish to share. |
